CNET News has obtained a copy of the 55-page draft of S.773
(excerpt), which still appears to permit the president to seize temporary
control of private-sector networks during a so-called cybersecurity
emergency.The new version would allow the president to "declare a cybersecurity
emergency" relating to "non-governmental" computer networks and do what's
necessary to respond to the threat. Other sections of the proposal include a
federal certification program for "cybersecurity professionals," and a
requirement that certain computer systems and networks in the private sector
be managed by people who have been awarded that license.

On Tuesday, the Senate health committee voted 12-11 in favor of a two-page amendment courtesy of Republican Tom Coburn that would require all Members and their staffs to enroll in any new government-run health plan. Yet all Democrats - with the exceptions of acting chairman Chris Dodd, Barbara Mikulski and Ted Kennedy via proxy - voted nay.It took me less than a minute to sign up to require our congressmen and senators to drink at the same trough! Three cheers for Congressman John Fleming of Louisiana !Congressman John Fleming ( Louisiana physician) has proposed an amendment that would require congressmen and senators to take the same healthcare plan they force on us (under proposed legislation they are curiously exempt).

(Can be true for any store.) I needed light bulbs and Bounce dryer sheets. I was in the light bulb aisle, and right next to the GE brand I normally buy was an off brand labeled, "Everyday Value." I picked up both types of bulbs and compared the stats - they were the same except for the price. The GE bulbs were more money than the Everyday Value brand, but the thing that surprised me the most was the fact that GE bulbs were made in MEXICO and the Everyday Value brand was made in the USA by a company in Cleveland, Ohio.So on to another aisle for Bounce Dryer Sheets. Yep, you guessed it, Bounce cost more money and is made in Canada. The Everyday Value brand was less money and MADE IN THE USA! I did laundry yesterday and the dryer sheets performed just like the Bounce Free I have been using for years and at almost half the price!So throw out the myth that you cannot find US-made products anymore or that you have to pay more for them. My challenge to you is to start reading the labels on everyday things you normally purchase and see what you can find that is made in the USA. A new bill has been introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives called the National Emergency Centers Act or HR 645. This bill if passed into law will direct the Secretary of Homeland Security to establish national emergency centers otherwise known as FEMA camp facilities on military installations. This is an incredibly disturbing piece of legislation considering that the powers that be have already set in motion an agenda to setup a nationwide marital law apparatus through U.S. Northern Command and the Department of Homeland Security. Apparently, the fusion centers, militarized police, surveillance cameras and a domestic military command is not enough. Even though we already know that detention facilities are already in place, they now want to legalize the construction of FEMA camps on military installations using the ever popular excuse that the facilities are for the purposes of a national emergency. With the phony debt based economy getting worse and worse by the day, the possibility of civil unrest is becoming a greater threat to the establishment. One need only look at Iceland, Greece and other nations for what might happen in the United States next. With this in mind, it appears as if these so called national emergency centers will be used in a national emergency but only if the national emergency requires large groups of people to be rounded up and detained. If that isn’t the case, than why have these national emergency facilities built in military installations?

Some form of this bill has been introduced in Congress many times before. I'm not sure it's even gotten a committee hearing, much less a floor vote. Please contact your U.S. Congressman about co-sponsoring this bill or at a minimum supporting it.
House member Nathan Deal introduced HR 1868: reintroduced his Birthright Citizenship bill that would eliminate automatic citizenship for children born in the United States to illegal aliens. The Birthright Citizenship Act of 2009 (H.R.1868) would amend the Immigration and Nationality Act to make it more difficult for children born in the U.S. to gain citizenship. Under the proposed legislation, a person born in the United States, in order to gain citizenship, must have at least one parent who is:
a U.S. citizen or national;
a lawful permanent resident alien whose residence is in the United States; or
an alien performing active service in the U.S. Armed Forces.

• Section 412, which allows employers to dump individuals onto the government plan.

But it isn’t only the rapid movement to get a health care plan approved and signed into law that got Giffords’ attention at the town hall meeting. Other issues brought up by speakers highlighted the distrust of many people in the audience. Here's a summary of key issues:
Illegal immigrants
Medical care for illegal immigrants was an area that a couple of speakers touched on, wanting the congresswoman to promise that such individuals will not be covered. But her response that one version of the health care reform bill would not allow illegal immigrants to register for health care coverage brought moans of disbelief by many in the audience.
Tort reform
Others demanded that she support tort reform to cut back on the amount of money paid out for medical malpractice. Some claim the only ones benefiting for such lawsuits are lawyers. Giffords said she has supported tort reform for years and will continue in her efforts to ensure such a policy is part of any health care reform measure.
Veterans’ benefits
Some retired military members wanted assurance that their Veterans Affairs and TRICARE for Life medical benefits would not be touched. They received the congresswoman’s personal guarantee that the programs will be protected in any reform law.
Private insurance
What most of the slightly more than 20 people who had a chance to address Giffords wanted was that their current health care insurance plans not be modified by the federal government. As one speaker said, “I would rather have changes made by me, not the government.”

A Huntington Beach man was arrested after he allegedly kidnapped a 7-year-old autistic girl and then sodomized and raped her, police said Saturday.
Daniel Blas Flores, 27, was arrested Wednesday at his apartment and booked for “several sexual assault related charges,” according to a news release from the Huntington Beach Police Department.

Aaron Turpeau, an Atlanta political activist and strategist, has dropped a little bomb into the middle of the city’s mayoral race in the form of a memo to unknown black leaders in Atlanta. The document, intended to be private, calls on black Atlanta to unite behind a single black candidate to keep the mayor’s office in black hands, allowing the city to pursue what Turpeau calls a “black agenda.”....
The memo, which came to light Thursday, makes at least two egregious, offensive and dangerous assumptions:
First, it treats the mayor’s office as a black possession, a trophy of sorts that could be surrendered to white Atlantans for the first time in 35 years. That is a cartoonish, archaic approach to politics that, among other things, ignores the humanity of individual mayoral candidates, with all their strengths and weaknesses, and tries to reduce them to mere representatives of their respective races.That mindset has had its day, and that day is, or ought to be, over. But as the memo reminds us, it isn’t quite. There are those in the black and white communities who still see opportunity, profit and power in extending that day beyond its normal lifespan, and the Turpeau memo lays out one way it might be done.In fact, the memo is valuable because it brings to the surface a sentiment that is more widely held among black voters than many local leaders, black and white, would care to publicly acknowledge. Many black voters — older voters in particular — take pride in the idea that Atlanta is a black-run city, and for some that sense of pride would be diminished if a white person were elected to lead it.

"There's a large number of animals we put down each day, and it's very difficult for us because the animals didn't do anything wrong," she said. "Every animal that comes to our shelter deserves a fair chance at getting a home."
After getting a license for her dog, Chia, at the Maricopa County shelter, Joyce Rodriquez said owners should spay or neuter pets regardless of any law.
"There are too many abused and abandoned animals; it breaks my heart," Rodriquez said.

Early Friday 1:30 a.m. a vehicle was stopped on the 303 and many illegals jumped out and and scattered. Would you believe they came to my back yard. I awoke to hear a BIG helicopter with a hugh searchlight going back and forth over my house and block and then I saw a guy walk by my bedroom window yelling "No mas!" I called 911 and later a sheriff's police came to the door and told me they had gotten onto my street and they were searching for them.
Later I heard they caught 14 of the illegals.

Scioto Sheriff Details Incident in Wheelersburg on Saturday, 3 to be Deported
The caller stated that a group of males were following them and making threats at the time of the accident.
As the deputy pulled onto the parking lot ,two of the four males began to walk away from the vehicles.
The deputy ordered both men to stop and they did. As they were complying with the order, the officer heard a "clunk" sound.
In that area, the deputy found a loaded gun in a cubby hole near a pop machine. Inside one of the vehicles, officers found ammunition matching the ammunition in the gun.
Sheriff Donini says there was no evidence or witness statements that the weapon had been fired as indicated in the e-mails being circulated.
Donini also says the gun was not warm or hot to the touch, there were no bottles of alcohol pulled out of the vehicle, and the men were not employees of a Wheelersburg business as stated in the numerous e-mails being circulated.
Four people were arrested:
a.. Samuel Diego, 18, charged with improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle
b.. Alberto Martinez ,22, charged with improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle
c.. Olan Mendoza, 26, charged with improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle
d.. Sebastian Velasc, 24, charged with improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle and operating a vehicle under the influence.
On Tuesday, the US Immigration officials picked up Diego, Martinez, and Mendoza for deportation.

On Tuesday, the Senate health committee voted 12-11 in favor of a two-page amendment courtesy of Republican Tom Coburn that would require all Members and their staffs to enroll in any new government-run health plan. Yet all Democrats - with the exceptions of acting chairman Chris Dodd, Barbara Mikulski and Ted Kennedy via proxy - voted nay.It took me less than a minute to sign up to require our congressmen and senators to drink at the same trough! A new bill has been introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives called the National Emergency Centers Act or HR 645. This bill if passed into law will direct the Secretary of Homeland Security to establish national emergency centers otherwise known as FEMA camp facilities on military installations. This is an incredibly disturbing piece of legislation considering that the powers that be have already set in motion an agenda to setup a nationwide marital law apparatus through U.S. Northern Command and the Department of Homeland Security. Apparently, the fusion centers, militarized police, surveillance cameras and a domestic military command is not enough. Even though we already know that detention facilities are already in place, they now want to legalize the construction of FEMA camps on military installations using the ever popular excuse that the facilities are for the purposes of a national emergency. With the phony debt based economy getting worse and worse by the day, the possibility of civil unrest is becoming a greater threat to the establishment. One need only look at Iceland, Greece and other nations for what might happen in the United States next. With this in mind, it appears as if these so called national emergency centers will be used in a national emergency but only if the national emergency requires large groups of people to be rounded up and detained. If that isn’t the case, than why have these national emergency facilities built in military installations?

Under the proposed legislation, a person born in the United States, in order to gain citizenship, must have at least one parent who is:

• Section 412, which allows employers to dump individuals onto the government plan.

But it isn’t only the rapid movement to get a health care plan approved and signed into law that got Giffords’ attention at the town hall meeting. Other issues brought up by speakers highlighted the distrust of many people in the audience. Here's a summary of key issues:
Illegal immigrants
Medical care for illegal immigrants was an area that a couple of speakers touched on, wanting the congresswoman to promise that such individuals will not be covered. But her response that one version of the health care reform bill would not allow illegal immigrants to register for health care coverage brought moans of disbelief by many in the audience.
Tort reform
Others demanded that she support tort reform to cut back on the amount of money paid out for medical malpractice. Some claim the only ones benefiting for such lawsuits are lawyers. Giffords said she has supported tort reform for years and will continue in her efforts to ensure such a policy is part of any health care reform measure.
Veterans’ benefits
Some retired military members wanted assurance that their Veterans Affairs and TRICARE for Life medical benefits would not be touched. They received the congresswoman’s personal guarantee that the programs will be protected in any reform law.
Private insurance
What most of the slightly more than 20 people who had a chance to address Giffords wanted was that their current health care insurance plans not be modified by the federal government. As one speaker said, “I would rather have changes made by me, not the government.”

A Huntington Beach man was arrested after he allegedly kidnapped a 7-year-old autistic girl and then sodomized and raped her, police said Saturday.

Aaron Turpeau, an Atlanta political activist and strategist, has dropped a little bomb into the middle of the city’s mayoral race in the form of a memo to unknown black leaders in Atlanta. The document, intended to be private, calls on black Atlanta to unite behind a single black candidate to keep the mayor’s office in black hands, allowing the city to pursue what Turpeau calls a “black agenda.”....
The memo, which came to light Thursday, makes at least two egregious, offensive and dangerous assumptions:
First, it treats the mayor’s office as a black possession, a trophy of sorts that could be surrendered to white Atlantans for the first time in 35 years. That is a cartoonish, archaic approach to politics that, among other things, ignores the humanity of individual mayoral candidates, with all their strengths and weaknesses, and tries to reduce them to mere representatives of their respective races.That mindset has had its day, and that day is, or ought to be, over. But as the memo reminds us, it isn’t quite. There are those in the black and white communities who still see opportunity, profit and power in extending that day beyond its normal lifespan, and the Turpeau memo lays out one way it might be done.In fact, the memo is valuable because it brings to the surface a sentiment that is more widely held among black voters than many local leaders, black and white, would care to publicly acknowledge. Many black voters — older voters in particular — take pride in the idea that Atlanta is a black-run city, and for some that sense of pride would be diminished if a white person were elected to lead it.

Early Friday 1:30 a.m. a vehicle was stopped on the 303 and many illegals jumped out and and scattered. Would you believe they came to my back yard. I awoke to hear a BIG helicopter with a hugh searchlight going back and forth over my house and block and then I saw a guy walk by my bedroom window yelling "No mas!" I called 911 and later a sheriff's police came to the door and told me they had gotten onto my street and they were searching for them.
Later I heard they caught 14 of the illegals.

Scioto Sheriff Details Incident in Wheelersburg on Saturday, 3 to be Deported
The caller stated that a group of males were following them and making threats at the time of the accident.
As the deputy pulled onto the parking lot ,two of the four males began to walk away from the vehicles.
The deputy ordered both men to stop and they did. As they were complying with the order, the officer heard a "clunk" sound.
In that area, the deputy found a loaded gun in a cubby hole near a pop machine. Inside one of the vehicles, officers found ammunition matching the ammunition in the gun.
Sheriff Donini says there was no evidence or witness statements that the weapon had been fired as indicated in the e-mails being circulated.
Donini also says the gun was not warm or hot to the touch, there were no bottles of alcohol pulled out of the vehicle, and the men were not employees of a Wheelersburg business as stated in the numerous e-mails being circulated.
Four people were arrested:
a.. Samuel Diego, 18, charged with improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle
b.. Alberto Martinez ,22, charged with improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle
c.. Olan Mendoza, 26, charged with improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle
d.. Sebastian Velasc, 24, charged with improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle and operating a vehicle under the influence.
On Tuesday, the US Immigration officials picked up Diego, Martinez, and Mendoza for deportation.

Much to my amazement, I find myself in agreement with Nancy Pelosi’s recent comment about the Astroturf quality of the recent town hall meetings being held around the country. I recently had the misfortune to witness this Astroturf up close and personal as I attended what was purported to be a town hall meeting, at the Community Church of Joy in Glendale, Arizona, in which Congressman Trent Franks would supposedly be providing some straight answers to some difficult questions put forth by a growing number of disenchanted Americans. Quite the contrary, the event was a political pep rally, not a town hall meeting. The only things that were missing from this shameless self-promotion activity were the scantily dressed cheerleaders and the pep band. But rest assured, Congressman Franks had his rabid fans out in full force, and as you will soon discover, they were armed with all the viciousness of a pack of pit bulls on the loose.

He employed this same unjustifiable technique when coming to Mesa from Los Angeles in 2006.
