Thank you, Senator Snowe

As you know, Senator Olympia Snowe (R. Maine) is a key figure in the passing of the Healthcare Reform bill. In the past, she has voted against the bill. We want to let her know we appreciate those NAY votes—in hopes that she will continue to vote WITH the American people rather than against them, when it comes to the final vote on Healthcare Reform. Please send the “thank you” fax below to Senator Snowe.

TEXT OF FAX:

Dear Senator Snowe,

Although I may not be one of your voting constituents, I am an American citizen. As such, I would like to take this opportunity to say “thank you” for standing with your constituents and the vast majority of American citizens in voting against the Obama/Pelosi/Reid Healthcare bill before Thanksgiving in 2009.

Your NAY vote at that time demonstrates that you do have concerns about this piece of legislation—and rightfully so! For those that have taken the time to actually read this monstrosity of a bill (I trust you are one of them), it has become abundantly clear that the Healthcare Reform bill passed by members of the House is a very dangerous piece of legislation that will not benefit American citizens in any way.

The recent Senate committee vote, for which you voted YAY, was/is an effort to continue debate on the Healthcare legislation by members of the Senate—at least I hope that was the intention of the vote. I understand that you are currently working to make some changes in the proposed bill before the Senate is called to vote. I do hope and pray that those changes include some of the issues and concerns of American citizens, such as:

1. TORT REFORM
2. AVAILABILITY ACROSS STATE LINES
3. NO COVERAGE FOR ABORTION
4. NO COVERAGE FOR ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS
5. NO PUBLIC OPTION OR TRIGGERS
6. NO MEDICARE CUTS

Once again, I thank you for your past NAY votes concerning Healthcare Reform. I do hope you will revisit the concerns you’ve had in the past and if the necessary changes (such as though listed above) are not made, you will continue to vote AGAINST the Obama/Pelosi/Reid Healthcare Reform legislation.
