Citizens in Action

Taking Action to Take America Back!

Census 2010

MEMBER INFO

The current liberal administration wants to count every person in the USA in the 2010 census, whether they are citizens or not.  This has major repercussions and can not be allowed.  Please send this fax to your senators and representatives and urge them to only count American citizens in the 2010 census.

TEXT OF FAX

TO: [Members of Congress]

With Census 2010 upon us, I would like to discuss how the Census will determine the status of a person’s citizenship.

The Census will inquire as to who is living in the home, a number irrespective of being a citizen or immigrant. These numbers will meld to give the U.S. Population.

I vehemently disagree - I do not want illegal immigrants included in our population totals! How can the Congressional Reapportionment include an accurate accounting of non-citizens when these numbers come from the Census? This seems to be quite the contradiction. While congressional seats are contingent upon these numbers, the inaccuracies will negatively affect our states.

Senators David Vitter and Robert Bennett want the Census Bureau to ask about citizenship in Census 2010. I am asking that you “back” this Amendment to the CJS Spending Bill, and oppose any effort to invoke cloture until the Amendment has been voted on.

I appreciate your listening to the voice of a constituent.

Sincerely,

[Your Name]

[Your State and District]
