In another move aimed at getting more people to vote for the democrats, the Obama Administration wants to give cell phones (and minutes) away to low income families.  This is a blatant bribe and we, the taxpayers, are the one’s who will have to foot the bill for it.

Every time we turn around the liberal democrats are coming up with new ways to spend our money and I am getting sick of it. 

Don’t let them get away with it.  Send this fax to your senators and representatives.

I demand that the free cell phone program be terminated and the service to all cell phones issued under this plan be disconnected immediately!

With the serious issues facing the United States  I am appalled and angry to learn that our government is spending the hard-earned tax dollars of working Americans to provide free cell phones to people receiving Federal Assistance!

Just what kind of government do we have that issues free cell phones towelfare recipients; keeps the COLA for members of Congress; yet votes to take away the COLA for Social Security recipients—the majority of which are the elderly who can no longer work??!!

WHY, pray tell, do those people receiving Federal Assistance need a cell phone? Surely you don’t harbor some vague notion that they might use the cell phone to find a job, do you?

I would wager that a big majority of people receiving Federal Assistance have not held a job for quite some time! I would even go so far as to wager that most have no desire to even consider looking for employment—much less go to work everyday!   Why should they work when the government gives them everything – including a free cell phone – with free minutes included.

Of those Americans that are fortunate enough to have a job, (and pay the taxes that provide these cell phones to those receiving Federal Assistance) many can no longer afford the luxury of a cell phone—many, including me, have had to give up this unnecessary expense in order to keep mortgages/rents and power bills paid.

If these cell phones were provided to people that had serious medical problems and needed a phone for possible emergency purposes, then I would not object. But, our government is handing these phones out to anyone and everyone receiving any form of Federal Assistance—regardless of the state of their health—and THAT I OBJECT TO!

I object to the government spending my hard-earned tax dollars for a free hand-out of cell phones for those that refuse to work.  Don’t you think it’s about time our government officials start focusing on the real needs of Americans? The luxury of a cell phone is NOT one of them!   I demand that you “disconnect” them right now!
